Careers
At Daunt Books, we are always on the lookout for individuals demonstrating flair and initiative, who want to make bookselling their chosen career. A passion for books and reading across genres is essential, as is an ability to effectively communicate this to others.
Applicants must have a flexible, can-do attitude and be able to work calmly and efficiently with colleagues in an often fast-paced and reactive environment.
Everyone who works for us is first and foremost a bookseller, predominantly shop floor focussed and customer-facing. We invest in training over a long period of time, moving staff between locations to gain as much variety and experience as possible.
All applicants must be available and willing to work for a minimum of one year, and be adaptable with their working week, including weekend and evening working. Part-time staff must be available for a minimum of three full days per week, able to increase their shifts in the run-up to Christmas.
Any customer service experience is valuable, so long as you have at least six months’ worth on your CV.
If you believe this is the environment for you, please email Rebecca Le Fevre or Robert Dickson with your CV and a covering letter, telling us why you want to work for Daunt Books.
