Joseph O’Connor’s fiction has been published in forty languages. Peter Kemp has been reviewing fiction for the Sunday Times for more than 40 years and was its Fiction Editor from 1994 to 2010. His most recent book, Retroland (Yale, 2023) is a survey of English fiction from 1970.
