Robert was inspired to create this collection by the original drawings of Claud Lovat Fraser (1890-1921), who originally sketched his eye-catching images for his newly born daughter Helen.
The illustrations in this modern volume have been vividly updated by artist Ben Coppin.
Alongside the traditional nursery rhymes, Robert writes on the magic of nursery rhymes, the meaning of their not-so-childish nonsense and the history behind them.
Printed in Wales using the latest eco-friendly materials, this delightful anthology includes a ribbon bookmark.
A share of profits will go to the Royal Academy to acknowledge their role in preserving the work of Claud Lovat Fraser – with a further percentage going to the Dartmoor-based charity Storybook Dads and Storybook Mums, who enable imprisoned parents to record nursery rhymes and other bedtime stories for their children.
